How to vote in this year’s critical state and national elections

By May 4th
Register to Vote
Register to vote online. If you’re already registered, you can check your registration status to make sure it’s current.
Know your rights. You can always vote at your designated polling place using a provisional ballot on Election Day.

By May 12th
Request a Mail-In Ballot
(if preferred)
The request must be received by your county election office by 5 pm on May 12th.

By May 19th
Return Your Mail-In Ballot
Ensure you follow the instructions and enclose your ballot in the sealed yellow security envelope. Allow 2-3 days for your ballot to arrive by the deadline. Your county election office must receive the mail ballot by 8 pm on May 19th.
Forgot to mail in time? You can surrender your ballot to your polling place on Election Day and vote in person. Be sure to bring your ballot with you.

Visit your designated polling place on Election Day to vote in person. Polls are open 7 am – 8 pm
Stay in line. As long as you arrive by the time the polling place closes, you cannot be turned away from voting.
